Feed Me and I Will Protect You

Ants and aphids have a mutualistic relationship. The ants feed on honeydew left behind by the aphids, and in return, they protect the aphids from predators. In this picture, an ant is drinking a bubble of honeydew directly from an aphid. Notice the bubbles of honeydew on two other aphids.
